Historically, Gazprom Space Systems started their activity on construction of satellite communications systems, beginning from the northern regions where they deployed the first network for their main shareholder – Gazprom.

Continuing then the construction of networks for Gazprom enterprises, the company started to fulfill the orders of other users as well. Regional communications and television networks appeared.

All built networks after being delivered to the customers started to operate through the Yamal satellites, in such a way, expanding the client base of the operator activity of Gazprom Space Systems and providing quick load of the satellite capacity.

Gazprom Space Systems always sought to apply during network construction the state-of-the-art telecommunications technologies, which allowed the company to propose to the customers reliable and economical solutions. As a result, for example, each fifth regional network of satellite television in Russia is built by Gazprom Space Systems.
